Pyxis is a brand that manufactures inline process sensors and portable water analysis instruments. Its product portfolio consists of PTSA/fluorescein fluorometers (ST-500 series), an inline digital refractometer (RT-100), LPR corrosion rate sensors (CR series), dissolved oxygen and turbidity probes (ST-772, LT-73X), and portable multi-parameter handheld instruments (SP series).
As the provider of Pyxis under the Walchem brand, Mikron selects the sensor appropriate to the application, commissions the system, calibrates it and services it. Cooling tower chemical monitoring (PTSA dosing verification), corrosion rate measurement, process water quality control and field audit measurements are the applications we set up most often.

What does the Pyxis PTSA fluorometer measure?
The Pyxis ST-500 and ST-500SS PTSA fluorometers check the accuracy of chemical conditioning dosing by measuring the concentration of fluorescent tracer (PTSA) in cooling water. Thanks to their multi-channel optical architecture, they are not affected by turbidity or suspended solids.
How does the Pyxis LPR corrosion sensor work?
The Pyxis CR series simultaneously measures general corrosion rate (mpy) and pitting corrosion on the line using the LPR (Linear Polarization Resistance) principle. It monitors corrosion inhibitor performance in real time in cooling tower and boiler circuits.
Which parameters do Pyxis portable test instruments measure?
Pyxis Lab SP series portable instruments measure free chlorine, total chlorine, pH, conductivity, ORP, alkalinity, hardness, dissolved oxygen and turbidity parameters in the field. The SP-910 uses a 25 mL sample bottle and more than 65 colorimetric methods; PTSA, fluorescein and turbidity are read directly without reagents.
