Hefer is a manufacturer of sensors and controllers that measure water quality using potentiostatic (PME) electrode technology. Its product portfolio covers chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, dissolved oxygen, water hardness and turbidity parameters. For each parameter, it offers two installation options: 3000-C series ready-to-use analyzers (sensor + controller in a single enclosure) or 2030 series 4-20 mA transmitters (connection to a central controller).
As Hefer’s distributor for Turkey, Mikron selects the sensor and controller appropriate to the application, commissions the system, calibrates it and services it. What is the difference between the Hefer 3000-C series and the 2030 series?
The 3000-C series (CL-3000-C, CLO-3000-C, O-3000-C, OD-3000C, WHA-3000-C) are ready-to-use analyzers that combine the PME sensor and controller in a single enclosure. The 2030 series (PH-2030 (pH), MV-2030 (ORP), C-2030 (conductivity), CL-2030 (chlorine / dissolved ozone)), on the other hand, are DIN-rail-mounted transmitters that convert the sensor signal to 4-20 mA; their outputs connect to a central controller (e.g. Walchem Intuition-6).
Which parameters do Hefer sensors measure?
They measure free chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, dissolved oxygen, water hardness (Ca²⁺ + Mg²⁺) and turbidity parameters. Chlorine, chlorine dioxide and ozone sensors operate on the PME potentiostatic principle, hardness sensors on the ISE (ion-selective electrode) principle, and turbidity sensors on the optical principle.
