Control Modes and External Devices
Control options include manual, analog 4-20 mA (or 0-20 mA) proportional, pulse from a flow meter with divider (DIV) or multiplier (MULT), batch and interval batch. Diaphragm and valve set estimated life is 8,000 hours (EWN-R, EH-E, EWP manuals), based on continuous operation with clean water at ambient temperature; actual life varies with pressure, temperature and liquid. Replace diaphragm, O-ring and valve set whenever the pump head is removed.
Overfeeding can occur if suction level is above discharge or discharge pressure is too low. The EWN-R manual calls for a check valve (or back-pressure valve), mandatory when discharge pressure is below 0.13 MPa (0.049 MPa for B31 and C36). For EH-E, keep discharge pressure at 0.12 MPa or more (E56: 0.05 MPa or more).
